Born in New York City, Terence Chen took a circuitous path in becoming an actor. Terence double majored in Neuroscience and Political Science at Rutgers University and attained a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. He managed to sneak into acting classes between all that science because deep down he harbored a passion for performance.
After working in clinical research, Terence decided to embrace his creative side and pursue acting and writing full time. His parents obviously approved of this momentous decision–no wait, that didn’t happen.
Terence takes his work very seriously, but himself incredibly less so. Living in New York City, Terence tries to find unique voices and perspectives through wit and a deeply ingrained sense of irreverence. He also finds it very odd to write about himself in the third person.
